On July 13th, I called godaddy and asked for: promo10– didnt work
cjctenoff–didn’t work
What did I do wrong?
I called instead of doing it on the website. Is that the problem?
The cust serv guy ended up charging my cc and giving me a refund for 10% off, but it still had to go thru as a full payment. I’ll get the refund on my card in a few days. Bummer!

Well, I figured out you need to click through this website in order to take advantage of the coupons, which I did not know.
May I suggest that perhaps you make that really obvious on your website? Maybe put it in large letters at the top of the page?
Especially for us first-timers who’ve never been here before.
All in all, I’m happy I’m still getting my discount– although in a round-about way through a refund on cc.

I just tried all the codes that might apply to domain name purchases and none worked. I called GoDaddy support and the rep explained to me that they don’t work because the domains are all on sale (currently $0.65 off). By putting them all on a slight discount (actually, regular price as of last time I made a purchase, earlier this year), they’ve foiled all the coupon shoppers …

CRJC – I’ve just tested all the codes, and although promo749 and cjc695dom still work for .com domains, you’re right that the others are currently void because of the discount.

I’ve written my contact at GoDaddy and will hopefully soon be able to provide more details.
